Brief Outline

512 Brush Type 4s were built between 1962 and 1968 at Brush works in Loughborough and the British Rail Works at Crewe.
Class 47 47367 now located on the NNR was built by Brush Traction, Loughborough in 1965 with an original number D1886.
47367's last working was on 19th August 2001 but did not complete its scheduled run due to wheel set problems. A bogie change was planned but never took place and eventually it was sold by Freightliner to the Stratford 47 Group in November 2002.
