Purchase
of this item will raise funds for the Brush Type 2 Loco
D5631, later 31 207, which was acquired on behalf of the
Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway Society from
EWS in January 2004. Delivered new to Norwich shed
in July 1960, this Class 31 is very much a part of East
Anglia’s rail heritage, and did actually work on the
remnants of the M&GN mainline. 31 207 is basically
in good condition. Where items were missing, most have
been refitted; and she’ll be repainted in her delivery
livery of BR green, with white stripes and without
yellow panels.
