Where are we?

The William Marriott Museum building houses many artefacts, documents and other bygones from the age of steam in East Anglia. Outside, the full 5 ¼ miles of the Poppy Line are packed with a multitude of working museum items, such as the buildings and general railway infrastructure, the locomotives and rolling stock and a truly historic signalling system
 

Opening hours

The Museum is now open on days when trains are running.

 

 How to reach the Museum

 

By road.

Holt is on the A148 Kings Lynn - Cromer road. The station is signposted from the roundabout at Holt

Car and coach parking is available  Holt Station.

By rail.

You may choose to travel to Holt on a Poppy Line train from either Sheringham or Weybourne.

Car and bus parking is available at Sheringham (Council Pay & Display),

Parking is free at Weybourne although space is very limited and may not be available during special events.

Open at weekends and Bank Holidays (except Christmas and Boxing days) when trains are running.

Large selection of donated, second-hand railway books.
 Wide selection of railway (and other transport) and railway modelling magazines.
Back numbers of the Society’s award winning journal Joint Line (we normally stock from no. 1 to the current edition.
Journals and magazines from other preserved railways.
Videos, DVDs, CDs (new and secondhand)
Railway prints, photographs, postcards, packs of NNR photographs, mugs and key rings.
Special offer:-the Society’s own publication Forty Years of a Norfolk Railway, the reminiscences of William Marriott from 1884 to 1924.

Proceeds provide funds for the restoration of the Society’s steam loco, Wissington.

All the items mentioned above are subject to availability. We only sell goods that are in first class condition.
